We got to talk to Chase !
Chase called and it was so great to hear from him. He is doing really good and he is very happy. We talked for about an hour and a half. He is in Wilkesboro, NC up in the mountains. Well actually he said that they are more like hill compared to Utah. He currently has about 7 investigators, which he is totally excited about. He really likes his companion, Elder Jenkins, who is from Bountiful. In fact, all of Chases companions have been from Utah. He said "Missionaries from North Carolina go to Utah and Missionaries from Utah go to North Carolina". Elder Jenkins is coming home in one month, January 27th. We talked about strange foods he has eaten like, Liver Mush, (Just gag me now). He also said that only about 20% of the people stay active once they are converted. He is in the heart of NASCAR racing, which Tanner thought was really cool, because Tanner is totally into cars. Kelly says that in the south if you ain't burning rubber than you ain't really drivin. It was really, really hard to say good-bye. He bore his testimony right before he hung up. (That was a tear jerker !) We have so many blessings in our life. We have a really great family, a missionary, the gospel, and a loving Heavenly Father.

This will be the last "grandma sponsored" Thanksgiving which means that Grandma will no longer be doing all the planning and all the cooking. We really have a great Thanksgiving tradition with the whole Ross gang. Our family is so huge that we have to do it at a church house which makes it a blast. We play volleyball, dodge ball and we spend a lot of time just visiting. I am so grateful for my huge family and I love having an excuse to be with all of them at least once a year.
